Political Science: Writing & Citing

This guide offers links and access to print and media works related to political science.

Refworks & Other Citation Resources

Always ask your professor what style they want you to use for your written class work. The style will determine how you should format your bibliography, how you will cite your sources within your paper's text, and the way you will place quotes in your paper.

The BCC Writing Center is an on-campus resource where you can get help outlining, formatting, and writing your paper.

There are also many resources online to help you!

The library provides you with access to RefWorks, a citation management software program designed to assist you with managing citations, creating bibliographies and citing sources in your papers. Once you create your account, you will be able to access your citations both on and off campus. In most cases, you will be able to download articles with citations directly from library databases and citations from the library catalog, CUNY+ or OneSearch.

When accessing RefWorks from off campus, you may be asked to enter the college code. The BCC code, which is case sensitive, is RWBronxCommC
