4/3 & 4/4 - CUNY Teaching and Learning Conference 9-10:50 - Supporting CUNY Students’ Ethical Use of AI: Building Bridges of Knowledge (BBK) Faculty Fellowship Program
4/9 12-1 - Designing an Ecosystem of Resources to Foster AI Literacy AI should be used in both their personal lives and society more broadly. Long will discuss her research investigating how to foster public agency and critical decision-making surrounding AI. In this talk, she will present an ecosystem of learning experiences to broaden public AI literacy for groups ranging from middle school students to journalists.
4/25 11am - Growing with AI: How AI Can Support Growth Mindsets How can a growth mindset help us use AI effectively—and how can AI itself be designed to support growth? This workshop explores both sides of the equation: (1) how adopting a growth mindset allows us to engage with AI as an evolving tool for learning, rather than a shortcut that limits real thinking, and (2) how AI tools can be designed and prompted to encourage persistence, curiosity, and deep learning. By understanding AI as part of an ongoing learning process rather than a fixed category of "use" or "avoid," we can make more intentional choices about its role in education and work.
