DACA INITIAL APPLICATIONS TO BE REJECTED
August 5th, 2020
On July 28th, the Department of Homeland Security announced on its website that it “will reject initial requests for DACA as it weighs (the) future of the program.” The announcement included the following changes to DACA:
U.S. SUPREME COURT UPHOLDS DACA
As of June 18, 2020, the Supreme Court decided to uphold DACA.

The Senator José Peralta New York State DREAM Act gives undocumented and other students access to New York State‐administered student financial aid to support their higher education costs.
Students eligible to apply for financial aid through the NYS DREAM Act must also complete an application for each program they are interested in obtaining aid from.

SOLICITUDES INICIALES DE DACA SERAN RECHAZADAS

El 28 de julio, el Departamento de Seguridad Nacional anunció en su sitio web que "rechazará las solicitudes iniciales de DACA ya que sopesa (el) futuro del programa". El anuncio incluyó los siguientes cambios a DACA:
Todas las solicitudes iniciales de DACA y las solicitudes asociadas de documentos de autorización de empleo serán rechazadas
Las solicitudes nuevas y pendientes de libertad condicional avanzada en ausencia de circunstancias excepcionales también serán rechazadas
Las renovaciones de DACA se limitarán a un año.
TRIBUNAL SUPREMO DE EE. UU. TOMA DACA
A partir del 18 de junio de 2020, la Corte Suprema decidió defender DACA.
