Instructors are required to submit a Reserve Submission Form for each course reserve request (physical and/or electronic). Course reserve materials can include, but are not necessarily limited to physical books, selected e-book/book chapters, journal articles, and other online materials. For assistance determining if an item can be placed on course reserve, please email reserves@bcc.cuny.edu. IMPORTANT
- Instructors are recommended to search via oneSearch to determine if the library currently owns a copy of the material.
- For course reserve requests that the library does not own a copy, instructors are recommended to provide the library with a physical copy of the material.
- Materials placed on Reserves and E-Reserves must be legally obtained and owned by BCC library, another BCC department, or the instructor.
- Electronic reserve items are processed in compliance to CUNY guidelines for Fair Use and Copyright guidelines.
- Electronic reserve items are processed in the order received. Please submit requests three weeks prior to the start of the semester.
- One Reserve Submission Form for each item. If you have multiple reading materials for a specific course, please email your syllabus to reserves@bcc.cuny.edu

- To recommend purchase titles, faculty members reach out to their department liaison librarian, or submit textbook and general circulating book title electronically.
